Debugging and cleverness
Brian Kernighan is a computer scientist who famously co-authored the first book on the C programming language. He is also the originator of “Hello, world”.
One of his quotes about debugging is:
“Everyone knows that debugging is twice as hard as writing a program in the first place. So if you’re as clever as you can be when you write it, how will you ever debug it?”
In practice, I’ve found this to be true. How about you?
