Bugs hiding in the open

Bruce Dawson has a blog where he’s written about bugs he solved at Google and Valve. I’ve learned a lot from his writing over the years.

In this article, he reviews three scenarios where he found bugs that were in plain sight: available to be fixed but not being reported by anyone. They were ignored, tolerated, or simply dormant until the right set of circumstances activated them.

It’s a good reminder to review your logs, dashboards, build settings, and more. Perhaps there is a surprisingly easy win lurking in there!
